Announcing the 2024 Chapter Awards
The National Capital Area Chapter of the American Planning Association is pleased to announce a call for nominations for the 2024 Chapter Planning Awards. This is your opportunity to recognize outstanding community plans, programs and initiatives, public engagement efforts, and individuals for their leadership in our region. Any NCAC member may make nomination in several categories. The Awards Committee evaluates nominees based on originality and innovation, engagement, implementation and effectiveness, quality, and promotion of planning.
Nominations must be submitted no later than Thursday, August 15, 2024 to be considered by the awards jury. For nomination instructions and awards criteria, refer to the nomination guide. Email questions about submitting a nomination to events@ncac-planning.org.
Nominations
Nominations are being sought for the period of 2022 through 2024. Multiple awards may be given in a designated awards category, as determined by the awards jury.
All award nominations must be submitted via email to events@ncac-apa.org. Follow these steps to prepare and submit your award nomination:
- Review the categories and criteria
- Complete a Nomination Application with Form
- Submit all materials to events@ncac-apa.org

- Emerging Planner Award (2 - 5 years of experience)
